Asher's first Rodeo and Festival

This weekend we went up to a little mountain town called Tehachapi for their Mountain Festival and Rodeo with some of Andy's fellow classmates and families. It was a beautiful day! We had a blast walking around the Arts and Crafts booths

eating lunch on the curb (yummy grilled meat on a stick and fresh roasted corn on the cob) buying Asher a super cool handmade highchair (more on that to come) and some small handmade, wooden toys, before heading over to the rodeo. This Rodeo was classic small town, good times, cowboy boots and lots of dirt rodeo! I don't know how much Asher really watched of it, as he was pretty tired and whiny from only having a short afternoon nap on me while we walked the fair, but it was still a great time. They had everything from barrel racing, trick riding, cowgirl cheerleaders, to bareback bull riding and steer wrestling. It of course, made Andrew nostalgic for home, as the Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo was held in his home town each year.

Afterwards, we headed over to dinner with our friends Doc and Laci to this quaint little place called The Apple Shed. We enjoyed some finger licking, fall off the bone ribs and delicious peach pie! It was a great family day!
