Valentine's Day

Well, Andy and I continued our ethnic food tradition for Valentines....(2 years in a row, makes it a tradition!) Last year it was our 1 month anniversary and he surprised with dinner at a Ethiopian place in the South end of Boston...It was a wonderful meal and very fun to eat with our fingers.

This year we celebrated a day early and he took me to the Mona Lisa here in Manitou Springs. It was a traditional Swiss fondue restaurant. The main course was surprising because instead of oil or broth in a pot, they brought out this small electric grill and told us to grill everything. (which afterwards they told us was more traditional than the pot of liquid.....) The food tasted good, but smelling like smoky/burned oil when we left wasn't romantic. It was fun to be out together and try a new place, but we both agreed in the end that Melting Pot is a better fondue place.

On the 14th, we were both supposed to have work commitments, but they needed up getting changed so we went to watch the AF Academy play Utah in Basketball! They kicked butt and we bumped into several friends which was nice. Up next year? Nepali food maybe? :)

Hey some people might find a "smoky/burned oil" scent sexy! Cute post!
