Thank you dear friends

We spent one weekend in Atlanta while we at SOS. It was great time visiting the city for the first time, checking out the children's museum, World of Coca-Cola and just reveling (for me) in, being in a city! (pictures to follow in another post) The biggest blessing of the time, though was staying with some dear friends of my Mom's. Marybeth was my Mom's go to Virginia contact when Asher was born and all the chaos that ensued. She is a mighty prayer warrior and kept prayer chains going for both Asher and I while we were in the hospital. Her kids sent Andrew letters while he was deployed, though they had never met him. She also helped watch my siblings for several days when my Mom came back to CO to help me after Asher was home. To say that she means a lot to us is an understatement.
They blessed us wonderful food, conversation, encouraging words and lots of love on Asher. Between a grand piano, mini-Yorkie dog, a creek in the back yard and a basketball hoop in the driveway, I think Asher thought he was in Disneyland. As you can see in the picture, he was a little upset about leaving!
