Photos of our furry baby!
Well, we have had Boots almost 8 weeks and we have had a blast with him! He has already been to WY, MT, ND, MN, survived two 16hr. car rides and countless fly-fishing trips with Andrew! He is a hit everywhere we go and we take him everywhere! I actually want to start taking him into nursing homes and children's wards at hospital because he is so popular with people and continues to be super mellow! I listed a couple things we have learned about him over the past several weeks....
1. He now loves the car. If he thinks we are leaving he will either park himself by the door or the tire of the car, if we open the front door even a crack!
2. He LOVES people.......He loves being around people and consequently is a hit at all the local pubs Andrew and I take him to. Because he is so mellow and different looking people are fascinated by him! Leave him in the crate though and you will hear him get upset.
3. We are both softies for his puppy eyes! He gets more people food than I ever thought I would give a dog and although I have a "no dog on furniture/in beds" rule he manages to get 90% of his body in our bed every morning to wake us up!
4. He LOVES his tennis ball - He will literally ignore EVERYTHING when he is playing fetch. There can be 25 dogs around (like at the dog park) and he won't notice them when we have the ball out.
5. He loves water! Andrew takes him fly-fishing all the time and at first we could put him on an island and he wouldn't go off of it. Now he will even dive off rocks to swim after geese, fish or his ball. When we went fishing in MN he loved to get in the bottom of the boat and go out fishing with Andrew in the early mornings. If he can get into water, he will!
6. He and Brooks are kindred spirits when it comes to hot weather - Both Boots and Brooks HATE being hot.....Boots will run from shady spot to shady spot on walks and whenever he walks by a store with AC on, he will try to go in. She is very excited to play with him in the snow!
