It has been a full house around here since Wednesday afternoon. My family has gotten lucky with the weather because it was supposed to be yucky on Wednesday and Thursday, before getting warm again. LA was beautiful on Wednesday and we woke up Thursday to sunshine and warmth!

After picking up my family, we stopped off at a playground just a few minutes from the airport so they could see Asher walking and get some of their excited energy out before the drive home. Asher was so excited to see Nana and my siblings in person! He instantly recognized them thanks to all his time on Skype! When we got home, Andrew made his famous wings, which were a huge hit all around! (if you haven't been lucky enough to try them, you are missing out!!!)

Family is such a special gift

Thursday, we started the morning with family devotions while soaking up the sun, then had lots of playground play time with our neighbors. Later on, we walked to the skate park on base, shopped at the commissary and BX, (where Jesse loudly exclaimed how cheap everything was and how lucky I was to be able to shop there! Like he ever has to pay for anything himself!! :) We also stopped by Starbucks on the way home and managed to squeeze in swimming time before dinner and bed!

Where is Asher?

The biggest thrill for me was getting to sleep in till 8:30!!!! (Asher had been awake off and on from 4:45am, so it was much needed extra sleep!) And when I woke up?!?!? The dog had been walked, all the dishes done, my messy stovetop scrubbed clean, and a basket of laundry folded. It's so good to have Mom in the house!!! :)
